I was a former eTrade customer and closed my account several years ago, as their Brokerage would not manage trades for an OTC I invested in with my business partner. I received a new eTrade statement that has a few hundred dollars in it from some Litigation that I presume was a Class Action suit from 2013?
So I'm trying to get those dollars out of my account but since it's closed I have no access online to do anything but download a statement.
Every time I have called since early December 2021, it is over a 2 hour wait!!! I did manage to speak with a CSR on 12/15 and he said to expect a check in 5 to 10 business days but that was over a month ago.
I can't imagine why they have such *** customer service now as I always use to enjoy their product. But I certainly will never re-open another account!!!!
User's recommendation: Do not use Etrade...horrible customer service.
