I was lied to by the manager of the Etrade office on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.
After filling out an application 3 times, I was told my application information did not match my credit history. (Was supposed to be a soft credit check) The questions about a car being financed they claimed was a lie.
Untrue The questions about a mortgage company they claimed was a lie. The mention of having a student loan taken out in 2014 never happened. This incident wasted my time and upset me. I called the Cape Coral office to see if they could help me fill the application out, as that was on the application.
I asked the manager if this type of thing happened often and the manager told me it did. She had the application already. I was told to fill it out again and did, but each time the result was the same- I had to come into the office for an appointment on Monday. I asked about any specials and was told they would either pay $300 or give free trades for 60 days.
I researched what they offered online and it was $300 plus free trades---no either or. This institution not only has all of my information, but upset me terribly and took my time!! This must be the way they make sure one comes into their office, so they can persuade one to do what they want? Then of course the manager lied to me concerning specials.
After reading complaints from other people and having a horrific experience, I will not be keeping my appointment on Monday at 1:00 with the manager. For further proof, you have access to my 3-4 applications with all of my confidential information which you need to shred.
